A Little Bit About Me

My name is Andrea Louise, I am 45 years old (at the time of writing this in 2016). I have a teenage son who is 18 years old. I am a very proud Mum, he is doing fantastic academically and is striving to achieve his own dreams. I am also lucky to have found the love of my life, he came into my life seven years ago. He always makes me laugh and we have lots of fun together. We are getting married very soon now in March 2016 !!

I am not at all a sporty person, although I have put myself through hell running the Race For Life, and not just once, but twice! I know it’s not a marathon or anything but the training was really tough and I only did it to support the Breast Cancer cause. I prefer music and comedy. I played the oboe through my teenage years, I have good memories of the orchestras and bands that I played in. I am not playing currently but do hope to take it back up in the future. My music taste varies greatly from Dolly Parton and Bryan Adams to Katherine Jenkins. I have seen Katherine in concert many times . My dream is to go to Nashville to see Dolly Parton and Shania Twain. Part of my dream came true, I saw Dolly in concert last year in the UK. I find her and her songs so inspirational.

I also love going to see theatre shows both in the West End or local theatre productions. My favourite comedy at the moment is Mrs Browns Boys. I recently saw her live too last year, brilliant! Last year I saw Peter Kay live, that was amazing. He is one of my favourite comedians!

From school I went to college to do a hotel and catering course which took me to work a good few years in hotels. I enjoyed working in restaurant service and then more so when I moved into hotel reception. I am proud to have worked my way up from receptionist to Reception Manager. I love cooking and baking. Over the last few years I have picked up my cake baking and decorating again. I love making and decorating celebration cakes for the family birthdays.

I don’t think I have too many dislikes, I am a happy go lucky type of person who likes to have fun. My all time pet hate is people who interfere with other people’s lives by spreading untruths by hearsay.

I am enjoying my new spot free skin, I guess it feels extra special and I am grateful every day because I never take it for granted and remember only too well my past sufferings and how it made me feel then and how I feel now.
